Sketch your way through the heart of Florence! Join a professional artist as we visit three iconic spots, pausing at each location to sketch. Whether you’re a practiced artist or just starting with a pencil, I’ll be there to help you explore your own distinctive style. • We’ll begin our adventure at the iconic Piazza della Signoria, where I’ll hand you a sketchbook and a pencil (included in Experience price). • From there, we’ll move on to Ponte Santa Trinita for a stunning view of the Ponte Vecchio, and then we’ll visit Santo Spirito to draw the basilica’s famous facade. • At the end of our journey, we’ll settle in the Santo Spirito square to share our creations with one another over an aperitivo (drink price not included). I’ll help you slow down, look around, and capture Florence in your own distinctive way. If you choose to pay for postage, I’ll even scan one of your sketches and print it onto a postcard to mail back to you as a keepsake from your artistic day in Florence.

This fresh approach invites you to reimagine Venice beyond its postcard-perfect image. • Capture famous landmarks and lesser-known treasures—from the grandeur of Piazza San Marco to the quiet charm of forgotten alleyways—that reveal the city’s character in unexpected ways. • Take time to photograph the stunning four-bridge alignment at Ponte del Remedio, an uncommon angle of the Bridge of Sighs from Ponte della Canonica, and breathtaking views from Ponte della Paglia toward San Giorgio Maggiore, among others. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, I’ll help you refine your camera settings, experiment with composition, and master techniques like adjusting aperture and shutter speed to transform your shots. You’ll leave having documented a unique blend of Venice’s past and present, layering your personal perspective onto centuries of history.

I’ll guide you step by step, using tools like stones, shells, and wood to create texture and form. • Refine your creation with finishing touches, such as carving a giglio Fiorentino for a Florentine flair. We’ll end with a Q&A, where I’ll share creative insights and tips for finding the best Tuscan ceramics during your visit. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for ceramics, the joy of creating something one-of-a-kind, and your handcrafted piece as a lasting keepsake. Visitors to Murano, the “glass islands” in the Venetian Lagoon, often arrive with a preconceived idea of glass. But I want to show you how it can be entirely different from what you expect. We’ll explore glass as a medium for critical reflection, irreverent humor, and innovation. • I’ll show you around the gallery where I display my glass jewelry and sculptures, and discuss the long history of the glassmaking craft on Murano. • Head back to my workshop, where I’ll demonstrate how I transform solid glass into liquid and shape it into a wearable art piece. • Share a glass of wine or a cup of coffee afterward, and I’ll answer your questions and offer my thoughts on contemporary glass in Murano.
